The Harry R. Kendall Science & Health Mission Center brings together the science and mission components of world hunger by housing the corporate offices for the United Methodist Foundation and the science department. The main goals of the center are to educate students in life applications and to contribute to finding solutions for Third World hunger and health issues.

The building reflects two diverging entities through a diagonal feature wall, tying the Campus Center to the City Center as Philander Smith College seeks to tie mission and science through education. Additionally, at the intersection, there is a space that is conducive to interaction and sharing ideas.
