Lyon College is a small liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. It offers education in a personalized setting with intimate faculty-student relationships. The new building replaced the original Commons building, which was destroyed by a fire in 2010. We almost doubled the old facility in size and provided the college with greater flexibility for its future growth plans.
The newly expanded program includes a new dining hall and food service facilities, meeting rooms, student life services, a counseling center, a health center, a performance space, after-hours social gathering spaces, and a coffee bar. The building is organized to be the center of campus and to promote a culture of cohesion within the college community.
